Rachel is fully qualified to teach in both Infant, Junior, Senior schools, colleges for Children, teens and Children with Special Needs. Rachel teaches both Yoga and Mindfulness in schools and is able to adapt most environments.
The classes are a chance for the children and teens to unwind, relax recharge, explore something new and learn lifelong skills.
The Yoga classes vary with the different pupils ages, ability, style and number of children. It will include; breathing exercises, mindfulness, basic poses, meditation and relaxation. The classes are fun and include games, partner work, Mindfulness games and guided relaxation.
Mindfulness Classes can be held in a classroom at any time of day and like Yoga classes varies with age and ability. Rachel teaches mindfulness through specific exercises that teach the children how to turn inwards, become curious about their minds, be present, move mindfully and respond not react, These classes are age appropriate and aim to give each child the skills to help them feel happy, calm, confident, have better concentration and therefore ability to learn. It allows them to have improved self esteem and cope with more stressful and anxious situations.
